Hardy Native hedging.
Corokia Red Wonder is a very hardy plant that has nice green foliage.
Corokia are a popular choice for hedgng with their bushy habit and compact growth habit.
Small yellow flowers in spring followed by red berries in Autumn.
Ok in full sun or part shade. A hardy plant which can be pruned to be less than a meter tall or up to grow to 2m.
Corokia will grow in a variety of soil types except heavy wet clay soils. It’s a good idea to add some compost to the soil when planting to improve the longterm condition of the soil, this is expecially important with wet clay soils. The compost will provide a long term source of nutrients for the plant as it breaks down as well as improving the soil structure.
